The Dutch rider claimed a third successive stage success on the fifth and final day to seal overall victory in front of large crowds in Bury St Edmunds.
The Rabo-Liv rider, who claimed London 2012 Olympic gold ahead of Britain’s Lizzie Armitstead, won on the concluding 108km stage from Harwich – and with it 10 bonus seconds – to triumph overall by 30 seconds.
“I have won many titles before, and some gold medals, but this women’s Tour is really special because it means so much to women’s cycling,” Vos said afterwards.
Sharon Laws won the “Queen of the mountain” jersey, which is awarded for attaining points during designated ‘climb’ sections during each stage of the event. Her team surprised her on the final day by covering her bike in sticky dots to match her mountain jersey.

I especially wanted a shot of Boeing’s Dreamliner being the newest passenger plane on show. It is an incredible sight when unladen soaring and banking hard around the airfield fly zone. I got this fantastic shot of it in a steep climb.

Then there are the fast jets –
and the attack helicopters with time for a wave!
The second part of the job was a drinks reception held high up in what are called the ‘Chalet’s’. It was for those that had a stand earlier in the day & their guests. One attendee was Iron Maiden’s frontman & Cardiff Aviation’s Bruce Dickinson.
The view from the balcony is quite something so i took a panoramic shot on my HTC One M8. For a phone it’s pretty amazing.
It’s a great spectacle so go and see via www.farnborough.com

]]>Tournament starts at 1pm. 13 teams coming out of the tunnel onto the pitch. Two of England’s rugby stars, Mike Catt & Graham Rowntree are present to join the teams & build the atmosphere.

After the 20-30 minutes it took to round everyone up it was time to print the 127 8 inch x 6 inch prints so all the guests can have them signed & take them home after the Tournament.
There’s never much time for printing so I use my trusty dye sub printers to spit the 8 x 6’s out a fast as they can.
Once mounted they were laid out on tables in the tunnel for guests to collect & have signed by Mike & Graham.

Olly from Generate sent me this the same evening: –
Hi Giles, it was good to see you again today & thanks for all your help, the guests loved the photos! Catch up again soon.

We can produce bespoke magazine covers and drop in the photos taken on the day. By preparing the template design before the day we can set up our printing equipment on site, print and frame them ready for you to give to your guests.

]]>By the time the conference ends the Conference Photography team are fully set up and ready to record the events of the evening. Everyone is immaculate in suits and evening wear despite the busy day of meetings and conferences. There is a definite sense of excitement as attendees unwind and the champagne begins to flow. We manage to get a few shots of the elaborate dishes before they are devoured completely, though attempting to delay five hundred hungry guests from a three courses meal is a task which surpasses even our expertise. As the meal ends we arrive at the all-important speeches. This is the crucial moment for our team and we are sure to get as many snaps of the ensuing ceremony as possible. Later these will be cut down to almost a third of those taken but right now it is crucial we don’t miss an opportunity. After the speeches comes the slide show. This has been put together by the Conference Photography team earlier in the week and is now up and ready to go. These slides give a perfect glimpse of the work which has gone into the conference and helps to show the assembled guests what they have achieved. As the slide show ends there is a palpable sense of pride in the room and everyone is ready to celebrate the work that has been achieved.
There is no time to rest for the Conference Photography team though. As the day turns to evening we are capturing images of the various revelries taking place. These images will later be uploaded to the Corporate Event Photography website and linked in to the conferences own website. As the guests continue on into the evening we continue to get as many high-quality images as possible. The atmosphere is incredible and it is this feeling that the Conference Photography team really aims to capture. It is past midnight by the time we are finished but the event has been a huge success. All in a day’s work for the Conference Photography team.

]]>Set up is very easy by letting it ‘spring open’ once out of its carry bag then then bracing each corner with the posts supplied. Each side has a zip so depending on whether you need it landscape or portrait its easy to zip in one or two flash heads.
I use a two head kit so zipped one in on the left side & used the other with a softbox to light my subjects.
One of which was Alex Gregory MBE. One of the coxless four Olympic gold medal winning rowers.
At 6 foot 5″ it was tight making him fit on the 7 foot high background. I’m not short at 6 foot 2″ & don’t need to stand on a box that often!
My last encounter with an Olympic rower was with Sir Steve Redgrave at Wentworth Club. He was playing the 10th hole on the West Course in a corporate golf event & surprised the guests while putting out on the 9th green by using one of his medals as a ball marker!
But my first was with the Gold medal winning Searle brothers, Greg & Jonny along with their cox from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics Garry Herbert.
They have all been a pleasure & made a photographers job much easier. Thank you & well done!

Within 3 days of completing the job we had put together a bespoke hard back book of special photographs for him to keep as a memento of his time at Reckitt Benkiser and a framed print for each of his key guests.
